Can you hear?Have you heard a piano play? Can you hear? by TheJackOfMusic
and heard it make the music sway?
Heard it play a tune you don't know,
that pierces your very heart and soul?
Have you heard a drum play a beat?
Was it loud and sweet?
Soft and unique?
Hushed and weak?
Or did it sound like thunder amongst the clouds
beating proudly bold and loud?
Have you heard the guitar twang?
Felt its tug within your slang?
Called its name out in the rain?
Whilst crying as it feels your pain
And heals those wounds you'd thought twer gone again.
What you hear is what you see
What you know you cannot be
Until you've overcome adversity
To hear the song that you must play
To be the victor you must have your say
These seven things all will be,
part of the key,
that sets you free.
Now play my a song
that goes on,
and doesn't end until that breaking down,
when all is hushed
and all is true
tis where the song will be with you.
SavedA blank canvas awash with snow,Saved by TheJackOfMusic
no ill taint we dread of sludge and woe,
the stains of sin have not yet come,
to reek their havoc upon this one,
to late we cry when at last we reek,
of stench and filth that makes us seek,
a havon from ourselves.
We try to hide that which paints us black,
the coal and darkness we all hold back,
but there is one whom fears no stain,
and he has risen once again,
to cleanse that canvas of is pain,
and bring us back to him again,
so no longer on sin we dwell.
But this price he has paid for you and me,
though it by grace we are set free,
a heavy burden comes with thee,
the price is freedom from slavery,
to bare it one must be proud,
to carry his cross to calvary.
So shout his name name on high,
to all whom hear and pass you by,
and bodly praise him that marks the path,
on which we walk from our anger and wrath,
to him that saves us from ourselves again,
and all Gods people said amen.
